Once again SwingShoes is proud to present an International Workshop. This time with our friends Brad and Juliana from the US. Brad and Juliana taught a series of successful lindy and aerial classes in Copenhagen last year and are now back. They have been dancing, teaching and competing for several years.
There will be two short workshops taking place on Saturday the 7th of September:
- One Lindy workshop from 10:00 – 12:00 (requirement: One year lindy dancing)
- One Aerial workshop from 13:00 – 15:00 (requirement: You need a partner)
Lindy workshop, one year of lindy dancing
We will provide a new set of moves and ensure you can execute them comfortably at different speeds. Additionally we will take those moves and help you weave in your own style. Leads will get variations for their basics and follows will learn how to bring their thoughts to the conversation.
It has been said that “dance is the only art in which we ourselves are the stuff of which it is made”. Learn to be your art, not just a reflection of someone else’s. To attend you must be comfortable with all fundamental moves, i.e. Swing-out, Texas-tommy, circle ect.
Aerial workshop, with partner only
This aerial workshop will teach you how to flip, flop, and fly. There will be focus on theory, weight exchange exercises, and FUN! In addition to aerials there will be some tricks which don’t get you high in the air but regardless they are weight bearing.
Be aware of your body’s ability and limitations, choose the level of intensity you would like to do. You do not need any previous aerial experience. Only limited spots available!
