SwingShoes SpringSwing Ball is happening!
We have planned a fantastic night for you guys, just packed with all sorts of wonderful stuff! There will be awesome performances Out-of-this-World amazing Dj and live swing music by the One-and-Only 7-member swing jazz band ‘BIG FIVE’, Berlin’s finest Hot Jazz and Swing Jazz Band!

Inspired by the wild hot sounds of 1930s/40s Harlem, Chicago & West Coast jazz, The Big Five have established themselves as Berlin’s most authentic swing-era combo. Lead and arranged by Daniel Duspiwa, the songs are combining a propulsive rhythm section, a fiery horn-led frontline and dynamic song-arrangements, this international band makes a deep-dive into the lesser-known repertoire of the Swing Golden Age – as well as a strong emphasis on original compositions.
The Big Five are veterans of Berlin’s famed Lindy-hop and Balboa dance-halls and know how to turn a mild-mannered dance party into a raging frenzy of swing-outs. They have some *incredibly hot players* including the irrepressible David Hermlin one of the youngest and most explosive swing drummers on the scene. Swing historian and musician Nick Rossi described us as “one of the finest ensembles making music today.” With their sharp suits, explosive energy, and an intense passion for authentic swing-era jazz, these cats will certainly make you Jump for Joy!
