Two “Swing Marketers” wanted, to share news and make SoMe posts
We have so much good and interesting content that we want to share with our members – and we need your help to make it happen!
SwingShoes is looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to become our social media duo. Together, you’ll help us get all our fantastic stories, updates, and announcements out to our wonderful community of swing dancers.
Here’s the thing: We have incredible content just waiting to be shared – stories about our talented local teachers, exciting party announcements, class updates, community highlights, and so much more.
But we need dedicated people to help us actually get it out there across our channels.

What you’ll be doing
- Working together as a two-person team to manage our social media presence
- Collaborating with teachers, board members, and volunteers via Slack to gather content
- Posting about class registrations, party announcements, and special events
- Creating “Meet our teacher” features and community spotlights
- Sharing updates across MailChimp newsletter, Instagram, Facebook, and website
- Bringing your own creative ideas for new content we should create or share
What we’re looking for
- Most importantly: The willingness to help us reach our community
- Someone who loves swing dancing and wants to support our scene
- Enthusiasm for sharing great content (we’ll help with any skills you need)
- Ideally, you can start as soon as possible
- If you have ideas for new types of content, even better!
Don’t worry if you lack certain skills – we’re here to support you! The most crucial thing is your motivation to help SwingShoes connect with our members and share all the amazing things happening in our community.

How we imagine it could work
The SwingShoes board, teacher and volunteers communicate using Slack.
We imagine creating a channel in Slack where we can share images, texts, videos, etc. Our new social media duo will then turn that into interesting content and push it out to our members, via the channels we have available: Instagram, Facebook, the website, our newsletter (MailChimp), etc.

We’ll trial this until the 1st of January, 2026 – and hopefully continue after that.
But we just want to ensure that it works as we imagined and that everybody is happy with the arrangement. 🙂
