Who is SwingShoes?

We are a non-profit association run by volunteers.

Membership

Membership of SwingShoes costs 60 kr and lasts 6 months from the day you buy it.

Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Danish kroner. As a voluntary association we are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added.
  • You can pay with Dankort, Visa/Dankort and MobilePay.
  • Paying by card is free – we pay the fees.
  • We can never charge more than the amount you have approved.

Security

Payments are handled by our payment provider ePay. Your card details are encrypted and go straight to ePay and Nets, so neither we nor anyone else can read or copy them.

Receipt

You get your receipt by email after the last step of the payment. Keep it – it is your proof of payment.

If you can’t come after all

Your spot is yours, but you may hand it on to someone else who dances the same role (lead, follow or solo). Just write to us at info@swingshoes.dk before they come, so we can put them on the list. We do not refund a spot you can no longer use.

Right of withdrawal

Our classes, workshops and events take place on specific dates, so the usual 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to them (Danish Consumer Contracts Act, section 18(2)(12), forbrugeraftaleloven). Once you have signed up, the money is not refunded, except as described below.

If we cancel or move something

  • If too few sign up for a class or event, we may cancel it. We will let you know and refund what you paid as quickly as possible, normally within 14 days. If you would then rather leave the association, we also refund your membership.
  • If we move a class or event to another date, we offer you a refund.

Dancing with us

You take part at your own risk, so please look after yourself and your dance partners. SwingShoes cannot be held responsible for injuries or for belongings lost at our classes and events.

We want everyone to feel welcome and safe. Please read our Code of Conduct.

Newsletter

When you sign up, we add you to our newsletter about our classes, workshops, events and the swing community in Copenhagen. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every newsletter.

Your personal information

How we collect, use and protect your personal information is described in our privacy policy.

Complaints

If something is not right, please write to us at info@swingshoes.dk first, and we will do our best to sort it out. If we cannot agree, you can complain to the Danish consumer complaints board: Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, www.naevneneshus.dk.

Errors

We reserve the right to correct printing and pricing errors.
