Description

IMPROVERS – the word tells what this is all about. You have taken a beginners round, or you already know the basic steps, perhaps you are a very good at 6 count Lindy Hop.

The dance is a bit more upright and the basic is primarily 6 count.

The feeling, the groove, in Boogie Woogie is different from Lindy Hop, but still akin to that latter dance. Out of Lindy Hop came Boogie Woogie in the  mid 80s-

The music we dance to is from the late 40s jump blues, boogie woogie and alike all through the rock and roll, doo wop and rhythm and blues of the 50s to the sweet sound of the early sixties with a twist of soul.

At this level we will dive into leading and following and give good inputs to individual style – become your own personality.

Once you got bit by the bug, you want more of the infectious beat of Boogie Woogie, the dance, the vibe.

Lastly: We will dive into the understanding of interpretation of the melodies, so you dance “to the music” and not just the beat, and on the top – we will give you lead and follower variations that makes you shine.
