How did you start dancing?
When I was in kindergarten I had a super fun dance teacher! She was the one that made me fall in love with dancing. But swing dance came to me about 10 years ago. I saw a social dance in the city and then my curiosity got the best of me – here I am now haha!
What do you love most about teaching?
I love seeing people smile, laugh and enjoy themselves while dancing! And then later on seeing how they grow as dancers. It just melts my heart!
What does swing dancing mean to you?
It means freedom – to express yourself, to be curious, to be present, to relax your mind, just go with the flow and all that jazz! And I’ve met so many great people while dancing, some of them became a huge part of my life that I will always be thankful for!
What’s your favourite jazz song or artist?
Marytė Melynakė - The Schwings Band. It’s a Lithuanian band and song, and it just puts a smile on my face everytime!
Fun fact or secret talent?
I laugh funny!
