How did you start dancing?
My sister pulled me out to a social dance one night and I've been hanging out on dance floors around the world since!
What do you love most about teaching?
Seeing a room full of people find expression and connection through movement, individually and with another person.
What does swing dancing mean to you?
It means so much to me! It means liberation, connection, and a channel of expression. It has shown me what confidence looks like. It has gifted me with cherished relationships. It shows me what it means to show up and express honestly and confidently.
What’s your favourite jazz song or artist?
Two songs competing for long-term fav are My Baby Just Cares for Me by Ella Fitzgerald and Close Your Eyes by Jo Jones. My Blue Heaven, by Jo Jones as runner up!
Fun fact or secret talent?
I am insanely good at rubber band fights (ask me about it), I am obsessed with carbs and cheese, and something new I have recently gotten into is trash journaling (look it up!).
