How did you start dancing?

I started dancing Lindy Hop in 2005 after being drawn in by the welcoming community and the joy of partner connection. That first class hooked me, and before long I was exploring Balboa and Blues as well.

What do you love most about teaching?

I love helping dancers find comfortable, confident lead–follow and watching that moment when a connection “clicks.” Seeing people enjoy dancing together is incredibly rewarding.

What does swing dancing mean to you?

Swing dance is connection—between partners, with the music, and with the community. It’s a space where people can come together, share movement, and enjoy something meaningful without needing words.

What’s your favourite jazz song or artist?

Count Basie will always have a special place in my heart—his groove and drive make it impossible to stay still.

Fun fact or secret talent?

I can happily spend hours working on subtle technique details—especially anything that makes partner connection feel smoother and more enjoyable.
