Sunday Swing – Social Dance

Lace up your swing shoes and join the fun at Kulturhuset Indre By this Sunday afternoon! Sunday Swing is a social dance - no class, no teacher, just great swing music and a floor full of people who all showed up for the same reason: to dance.

Come alone, come with friends, come as you are. No partner needed - most people walk in by themselves. Ask someone for a song or two, say thank you, and move on to someone new. By the end of the afternoon you'll have shared the floor with familiar faces and brand new ones.

All levels are welcome. Whether you took your very first lindy hop workshop last week or have been swinging for years, there is a spot for you out there. Lead, follow or do both - and if you feel like keeping it solo, solo jazz fits right in with any swing tune.

A few simple things keep the floor a happy place:

• Ask freely, and accept a "no thank you" with a smile - it's never personal.
• Match your moves to your partner's level, and keep things compact when the floor fills up.
• Come fresh, go easy on the perfume, and pack a spare shirt - it gets warm out there.
