Sunday Swing – Social Dance

Pull on your dancing shoes and join the fun at Kulturhuset Indre By on a December Sunday afternoon! Sunday Swing is a social dance - no class, no teacher, just great swing music and a floor full of people who are there for the same reason you are: to dance.

Come alone, come with friends, come as you are. A partner is not required - most people show up on their own. Ask someone for a song or two, say thank you, and find someone new. By the time the afternoon wraps up you'll have danced with old friends and new faces alike.

Every level is welcome. Whether you took your first workshop last week or have been dancing lindy hop for years, there's a spot for you on the floor. Lead, follow or both - and if you'd rather move on your own, solo jazz fits any swing tune.

A few small things keep the floor a happy place:

• Ask freely, and take a "no thank you" with a smile - it's never personal.
• Dance to your partner's level, and keep your moves small when it gets crowded.
• Come fresh, go easy on the perfume, and bring a spare shirt - it gets warm out there.
