Sunday Swing – Social Dance

Lace up your swing shoes and join the Sunday afternoon dance at Kulturhuset Indre By - Salen! Sunday Swing is a social dance - no class, no teacher, just great swing music and a floor full of people who are there for exactly the same reason you are: to dance.

Come alone, come with friends, come as you are. No partner needed - most people walk in on their own. Ask someone for a song or two, say thank you, and move on to someone new. By the time the afternoon wraps up, you'll have danced with familiar faces and brand new ones alike.

All levels are welcome. Whether your first workshop was last week or you've been dancing lindy hop and swing for years, there's plenty of room for you on the floor. Lead, follow or both - and if you'd rather keep it solo, solo jazz fits right in with any swing tune.

A few simple things help keep the floor a happy place for everyone:

• Ask freely, and accept a "no thank you" with a smile - it's never personal.
• Match your partner's level, and keep your moves compact when the floor fills up.
• Come fresh, go easy on the perfume, and tuck a spare shirt in your bag - it gets warm out there.
