Solo Jazz Workshops with Joris
Joris is offering two amazing workshops on the 2nd of January.
This is perfect for dancers who wish to enjoy a workshop, before going to the Happy Feet Party.

We have two volunteer roles for this workshop.
Volunteer role #1: “Social ambassador”
Short version: Get participants to socialize as much as possible. Get 100% discount.
Role description: To try to organize for all participants to go out and get something to eat after the workshop. So figure out, if people are up for it – and if so, what kind of place would fit the crowd. If needed – make a reservation. You’re also welcome to try to arrange meeting up before the workshop and have a drink or something, if people are up for it.
You’ll get people emails, so you can reach out to them, and then maybe move the communication somewhere else (Messenger, WhatsApp, whereever).
And after eating, – sheppard as many people as possible to Happy Feet’s party.

Volunteer role #2: “Video recorder”
Short version: Take some video of Joris and maybe the participants, so we have something to edit and share on social media afterwards. Get 100% discount.
Role description: At some point during both of the workshops, you are to grab you phone and take some recordings of the workshop. You are also to speak up, in the beginning of the workshops, so people can let you know, if they don’t wish to be on the recordings. After the workshop, you are to upload only the best of the recordings to two folders (one for each workshop).

Workshop 1: Get On Board!
Level: Intermediate and up.
Date and time: Friday the 2nd, from 17:15 to 18:30.
Description: Choreographies are an integral part of jazz dances and the collective experience of jazz dancers. In this class, we will learn an exciting choreography that is both interactive and innovative. Be ready for some surprises!
Workshop 2: The Blues Chorus
Level: Intermediate and up.
Date and time: Friday the 2nd, from 18:45 to 20:00.
Description: Count Basie’s One ‘o clock Jump is a fine example of a 12-bar blues becoming hot in swing music. In this class, we will approach the 12 bar blues and dive into different set ups on how to improvise & build easy choreographies.
