In this workshop, we’ll dive into techniques of breaking away in blues dance while still dancing together with our partner. You’ll learn how to flow smoothly between solo moments and effortless reconnection, creating dynamic, playful interactions on the floor. No need for extensive solo blues experience – this class will guide you through everything you need to know. Explore the freedom of improvisation while mastering the skills to find each other again with confidence and style. Perfect for dancers with at least one year of blues dance experience who are ready to expand their partnered blues vocabulary and explore new layers of connection!

Slow & cosy: Embracing classy elegance

We will work with the waltz step and elements from ballroom blues.

This workshop is all about enjoying the connection of slow dancing. Our aim is a soft flow with a partner through ballroomin’ techniques, waltz and slow travelling across the floor. Vintage blues is the perfect atmosphere for a cosy winter season. All levels are welcome and no partner needed.

Ballroom blues emerged in the 1920’s and 1930’s and was danced in ballrooms across the US in like the Savoy Ballroom i New York.

Blues idiom dance: Funky butt

We will work on groove, solo funky butt moves, and try it out in partnership as well.
It’s all about listening to the music and trying out what fits to the more funky vibes of the blues vocabulary.

All levels are welcome and no partner needed.
